We were pleased to achieve the first integration of SpinVox technology into an IVR application recently. SpinVox is a great tool for converting voicemail (or in fact any single-party speech stream) into text, with amazing accuracy results (they boast of 95%+, and our testing certainly matched that).
We recently used the technology to automatically transcribe the audio feedback for an employee satisfaction survey for a major US telecoms carrier. After going through a 30-ish question multiple choice survey, employees had the opportunity to leave a 1 minute comment to say whatever they wanted. Processing these comments through SpinVox rather than a traditional human transcription route provided much faster turnaround times and saved about 60% on cost.
